Spirit of wellbeing

The blessing of life is your spirit. If you lose your spirit you lose everything.
We may think that having the best things in life is the only way we can ensure "quality of life" for our wellbeing, but there is way more to life than what meets the eye. It’s what we hold within.

As we get older we tend to forget about our spirit, we don't put aside time for ourselves in the day to connect with our wellbeing. Recently, I personally have been reading a lot on how vital it is to take care of yourself. It doesn't mean you're being selfish or self centered. It's just as important as anything else. If you don't take care of yourself who else will?

We hear about it more now than ever how important mental health is and it truly is. Sometimes we might feel if we don't meet that deadline or can't get certain things done and are running nonstop we're letting people down or even ourselves. That's not the case. It's okay to put yourself first and find time to take a break. One practice I definitely recommend is, focusing on your breath. Taking time out of your day and be one with yourself. Whether it’s taking a step outside into nature or even finding a little corner in your home and unwinding.

Your happiness is the most important thing before anything. When your energy seems to be running low, frazzled and stressed with your emotions taking over... find time for yourself. We can have all the riches in the world but it won’t always fill in a void if we’re truly not happy with ourselves. Understanding our emotions isn’t always easy, we even might have been raised in a culture where showing any emotion, effection or even compassion, is a sign of weakness. But, we must break from that and actually realize that life is filled with emotions and keeping your spirit alive.

How else can we really live if we don’t understand and acknowledge what’s within. Don’t lose your spirit.
